About the Role
The Clinical Director organizes, administers, and oversees the clinical operation of King Division utilizing evidence-based best practice models and sound clinical judgment. This individual provides clinical and administrative supervision to staff, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for youth and staff, and compliance with all mandates. The role involves overseeing and developing clinical/case management staff, including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and scheduling. This position requires global thinking, problem-solving, and strong decision-making and critical thinking skills. As a significant portion of the population has histories of causing sexual harm, the Clinical Director serves as an internal clinical expert consulting agency-wide on this theme. The role requires dedication to the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), a non-judgmental approach focused on skill-building and behavior principles, and functioning as part of a team by modeling pro-social behavior and building positive relationships with residents.
Responsibilities
- Organizes, administers, and oversees the clinical operation of King Division.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to the Clinical Supervisor, Psychologist, and clinicians.
- Ensures a safe, therapeutic environment for all youth and staff.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant mandates.
- Oversees and develops Clinical/Case Management staff, including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and scheduling.
- Serves as an internal clinical expert on themes of sexual harm.
- Consults with the agency as a whole around themes of sexual harm.
- Supports and carries out the functions of the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM).
- Models pro-social behavior and builds positive relationships with all residents.
Requirements
- LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or Ph. D Psychologist with at least four (4) years documented relevant experience.
- Two (2) years’ experience treating youth with histories of causing sexual harm.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Literacy in EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK.
- Ability to navigate the 5-boroughs (preferred).
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish (preferred).
- Ability to present self in a highly professional/engaging manner.
- Ability to work independently.
