About the Role
The Driver Route Reclaim is responsible for driving the company vehicle to collect customer products, visiting customer sites, and scanning, sorting, and processing unsaleable and recalled consumer products for clients as directed. This role reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manages assigned routes efficiently, ensuring customers are serviced in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Collects required data using handheld scanning devices and records information legibly on route sheets and daily documents.
- Communicates professionally and effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers.
- Loads and unloads boxes on pallets and trucks for delivery to food banks or warehouses daily.
- Follows written instructions containing route and client information.
- Performs simple math calculations.
- Interacts professionally with various levels of internal/external customers, maintaining a strong professional appearance and attitude.
- Completes logbooks and understands hours of service regulations.
- Performs Pre and Post Trip Inspections.
- Completes required reports and strictly adheres to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Performs other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience, preferably in driving vehicles of at least 3 tons and route management.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- All CMV/CDL drivers must be able to obtain a medical card by a certified medical examiner.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative for potential air travel or access to federal property.
