About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager, under the supervision of the Community Manager, is responsible for assisting in all phases of property operation, including general administration, leasing, and maintenance. This role may also participate in budget preparation and control, and the direction of all property resources.

Responsibilities

  • Perform recertification interviews with residents, complete paperwork, system entry, and submit to the corporate office.
  • Track rental inquiries, accept, date/time stamp, and log all applications for unit rental.
  • Show vacant units and market property amenities.
  • Maintain knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivables procedures and assist with collections.
  • Assist with filing court documents for eviction and attend court hearings if necessary.
  • Execute marketing campaigns for leasing, including promotion and tours. Prepare, process, and modify lease agreements. Maintain knowledge of competition and market conditions.
  • Coordinate with the property messaging service to retrieve messages and follow up with calls.
  • Remain current with all applicable laws and regulations for residential rental properties and company processes.
  • Assist with ordering office supplies for the property.
  • Initiate, track, and close work orders using property systems.
  • Assist the Community Manager with other tasks and duties as required.

Requirements

  • One or more years of experience with residential real estate management.
  • Tax Credit, Section 8, and/or Public Housing experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of college preferred.
  • Will complete all company-required certification training and testing after hiring.
  • Professional appearance and the ability to resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
