About the Role
This hands-on position is responsible for driving the implementation of HR processes and initiatives, including staffing, payroll, performance management, employee development, training, and succession planning.
Responsibilities
- Train and monitor work accuracy of Payroll/HR responsibilities with managers
- Maintain and reconcile all hourly payroll files and data for the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Process weekly plant hourly payroll, including balancing general ledger interfaces and preparing regular and special payroll reports
- Assist in the administration of employee benefit and compensation programs and other HR company initiatives as required
- Partner with Plant HR Manager for disability processing, relocation coordination, HR requisition and PAF process, maintaining employee files and performance plan tracking and record keeping
Requirements
- Be a positive and pro-active company and employee advocate
- Professional demeanor and ability communicate with all levels within the organization
- Have experience processing complex hourly payroll in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to assist in the execution of labor and employee relations activities that drive productivity and efficiency
- Be able to assist with grievance administration
- Bachelor Degree required
- Must have experience in payroll administration in a fast-paced environment, ideally within manufacturing
- Prefer someone with previous Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment with modern HR processes
Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of Ceridian DayForce and SAP are a plus
