About the Role

Fairview Nursing Home has an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Aide to join their team, contributing to a caring and respectful environment for residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met while following safe food handling techniques.
  • Support the preparation of catering functions and events.
  • Maintain a clean dining room and workspace.
  • Support and embrace a resident-centered social culture and deliver high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment up to 100 lbs (20-50 lb. usual).
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Able to stand or walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift.
  • Possess a valid Smart Serve Certification.
  • Hold a valid Food handlers certification.
