About the Role

The Residential Manager will oversee and maintain the successful operation of the Individualized Residential Alternative/Intensive Care Facility serving Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. This role requires professionalism, forward-thinking, and acting as a positive role model.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve, multi-task, and conduct research to resolve program concerns.
  • Be available on-call 24/7 for emergent needs, triage, and support.
  • Exhibit effectiveness in handling crisis situations, deploying resources, and communicating effectively.
  • Provide training, direction, and supervision to Direct Support Professionals and the Assistant Manager.
  • Maintain meticulous records for attendance, compliance, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate all services for Individuals, including linkages to day treatment, medical, psychiatric, and financial services.
  • Ensure the program is prepared for external DQI Audits and conduct regular self-audits.
  • Oversee and implement agency medication protocols, ensuring compliance with OPWDD standards.
  • Conduct mandatory staff meetings at least once per month.
  • Attend monthly Managers’ meetings prepared to present program updates.
  • Develop specific Residential Habilitation Plans/LRO/SRO for individuals and conduct reviews.
  • Coordinate the implementation of Residential Habilitation Goals LRO/SRO.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical department to complete/oversee behavioral tracking mechanisms.
  • Utilize Precision Care for all documentation and create monthly summaries.
  • Manage staff schedules, required trainings, and the staff onboarding process.
  • Participate in the interview process and assist in recruiting new team members.
  • Approve timesheets via PayCom.
  • Participate in the admission/discharge process.
  • Represent the agency to other service providers and community groups.
  • Oversee cooking needs with healthy menu planning, food shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Review the weekly menu and submit weekly food ledgers/receipts.
  • Maintain documentation of annual/bi-annual medical appointments.
  • Accompany residents on medical appointments.
  • Commit to professional development.
  • Exercise sound judgment.
  • Manage a multitude of emails via Microsoft Outlook.
  • Perform other duties via Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Effectively manage time, organize workspace, and demonstrate proactive planning.
  • Ensure organization of monthly recreation activities.
  • Establish and maintain professional, interpersonal relationships.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve grievances, and offer mediation.

Requirements

  • A H.S Diploma (Bachelor’s degree Preferred) with at least three (3) years’ experience working with the Developmentally Disabled population.
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in the field of human services preferred.
  • Occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
