About the Role
The Health & Safety Advisor's main objective is to support project operations teams in all aspects of the SHE framework, ensuring operations protect the environment, health, safety, and welfare of employees and others affected by operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain close communications with the Health & Safety Manager, advising of any serious negative impacts.
- Review compliance with the SHE Management framework across all sites.
- Ensure SHE reports provide clear and concise findings supported by photographic evidence and are discussed with the Site Manager before issuing.
- Support Operational teams with ‘High Risk’ Safe System of Work reviews.
- Monitor and review physical activities on site to ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work and safe working practices.
- Inform the Health & Safety Manager before issuing a Non-Compliant site report.
Requirements
- Experience in the construction industry as a SHE Advisor.
- Experience in residential construction is preferred.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Construction Certificate required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to travel to multi sites in the South region.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
