About the Role

KPMG’s GCT team helps multinational groups and financial services clients manage global tax compliance, reporting, and statutory accounting obligations through outsourcing, co-sourcing, transformation, and technology. Our Corporate Tax Compliance business utilizes cutting-edge technology and advisory teams to serve a diverse client base, including large compliance clients with complex tax profiles. We are experiencing rapid growth, making it an exciting time to join.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a client portfolio, ensuring timely and high-standard tax computations, finalization, and submission to HMRC within deadlines.
  • Keep clients informed about Corporate Tax developments and new legislation impacting their businesses.
  • Oversee junior colleagues, providing coaching, career management, and technical guidance during the review process.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues and opportunities, reviewing analysis and involving specialists as needed.
  • Build and maintain positive, constructive relationships within the team, across KPMG, and with clients.
  • Support clients with group reporting needs and tax audit work.
  • Enhance KPMG's reputation through high-quality work, knowledge, and experience.

Requirements

  • Strong UK Corporation Tax experience, including reviewing computations and returns and client liaison during the compliance process.
  • Knowledge of tax accounting (FRS 102, IFRS desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify core issues, and demonstrate curiosity towards new ideas, approaches, and perspectives.
  • Sustain a high level of drive, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude that influences the team.
  • Excellent teamwork and organizational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to drive forward propositions and key initiatives.
