About the Role
Bank of America is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Global Payment Solutions team as a B2B Payment Sales Specialist. This role focuses on commercial card and comprehensive payables, providing subject matter expertise, industry knowledge, and competitive positioning to clients globally. The ideal candidate will drive business development, manage client engagements, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver innovative treasury solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead product expert supporting Global Payment Solutions (GPS) client sales engagements and account management activities.
- Close complex and high dollar deals, and/or emerging solution opportunities with strategic clients.
- Possess detailed product line expertise on designated product line or detailed knowledge of industry needs and practices and GPS product sets.
- Lead consultative discussions at multiple levels of the organization and may act as a Bank representative presenting at key industry events.
- Participate as the product sales or industry expert in client call planning and client calls as well as strategic client reviews, identifying opportunities and influencing solutions.
- Act as a key participant in Senior Deal Teams.
- Drive collaboration between product, sales and client relationship teams to package, market and position leading solutions.
- Perform proactive lead generation and drive business development engagements via industry conferences and client calling.
- Lead formal client engagements throughout the sales cycle, develop RFP responses, set pricing strategy, and deliver formal pitches and software demonstrations.
- Manage client engagements and reviews, account management, complex deals, and/or emerging solution opportunities with clients to grow market share.
- Serve as a bank representative presenting at key industry events, leading consultative discussions at multiple levels of the organization, and providing product line expertise.
- Support banking line partners in understanding treasury management, product risk, and ensuring applicable policies are applied through the sales cycle.
- Manage the strategy and tactical execution of segment initiatives across all major Lines of Business, driving collaboration between product, sales, and client relationship teams.
- Identify and develop responses to emerging product trends, competitive strategies, and market gaps.
- Develop and implement programs and policies in partnership with market leadership to drive Global Treasury solutions and local market strategies.
- Participate as the product or industry expert in client call planning and strategic client reviews, identifying opportunities and influencing solutions.
- Own sales efforts, through proactive prospect lead generation, and the development and nurturing of client relationships.
- Maintain status as a best-in-class subject matter expert, with deep understanding of product functionality, value proposition, industry trends and the competitive landscape.
- Write RFI/RFP responses and deliver best and final presentations to clients and their leadership teams.
- Create and drive formalized routines with all regions and key business partners such as Product Management, Treasury Sales, Relationship Management, Implementations, Customer Service, and executive leadership.
- Brief senior leaders on sales efforts, deal overview and strategy to win.
- Act as the voice of our clients to drive innovation and enhancements to our product offering.
- Partner with the broader bank organization to gain access to senior level contacts within prospects/clients.
- Conduct and lead client presentations in person, over the telephone and via WebEx, to all levels of client organizations.
- Perform platform/technology demonstrations, and communicate features and benefits to clients.
- Price deals and lead pricing and contract negotiations with clients.
- Develop and deliver internal training sessions on products, services and value proposition to Treasury Sales and Relationship Management Teams, and other business partners.
- Represent the organization at internal and external client conferences and trade shows, and generate new leads for Card and Comprehensive Payables business.
- Assist in the mentorship and development of junior talent.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the payables marketplace, with an understanding of the competitive landscape and regional marketplace variations.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced global environment.
- Experience working within a highly matrixed organization.
- Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications.

- $109,200.00 - $135,500.00 annualized salary
