About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Group Accountant who strives to improve everything they do and has the courage to challenge the status quo. This role is key in shaping the future of Hiscox Group Finance to help deliver the next phase of business growth. You will focus on servicing Group level financial reporting requirements and build strong relationships with the wider Finance team and Finance Directors/Controllers across Hiscox business units.

Responsibilities

Produce and present high-quality Group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, statutory and regulatory reporting deliverables in compliance with IFRS and Solvency II.
Maintain and enhance the financial control environment for Group consolidation reporting and the broader financial control framework.
Proactively manage strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Streamline, automate, and enhance finance processes using technology, personal experience, external insights, and best practices.
Champion and support the Head of Group Financial Reporting in developing a continuous improvement culture.
Actively support Finance and Group-wide projects relevant to the role.
Support and drive a culture of excellence across the wider Financial Control team.

Requirements

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
Good technical and financial reporting knowledge within the financial services sector (preferably insurance).
Ability to constructively challenge and analyze results.
Hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of group consolidation principles and financial reporting systems (preferably Oracle).
Strong control mindset and experience.
Experience in delivering change and continuous improvement.
