About the Role
Vital Village Networks (VVN) builds community capacity to optimize child wellbeing, prevent early life adversities, and advance equity. The Senior Training and Learning Specialist will oversee daily operations of the Supportive Trauma Informed Interventions for Educators (STRIVE) program and associated VVN efforts, focusing on promoting early childhood mental health and wellness. This role involves working with community partners, educators, and families to build collaborative partnerships, sustain and scale the network, and oversee network programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee network projects and functions including STRIVE and Network Connection Meetings.
- Manage operations for STRIVE statewide implementation expansion and local partnerships, including setting program goals, objectives, and impact metrics.
- Supervise support staff, including practicum students, interns, and VISTA members.
- Ensure meaningful engagement of families and partners through civic leadership opportunities and volunteer coordination.
- Support strategic planning for training and consultation.
- Lead management of training operations, including request intakes, partner meetings, contract agreements, and outreach.
- Maintain, update, and create training content, including presentations, curriculum, and toolkits.
- Facilitate community co-design processes in training and curriculum development.
- Deliver presentations and provide technical assistance for training.
- Support the PDP/CEU/CME/CNE certification process.
- Support quality improvement and implementation change through data collection and analysis.
- Support writing white papers, literature reviews, and other research activities.
- Lead regular communication with staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Support scheduling of key partner meetings.
- Support team and partner meeting scheduling and documentation.
- Provide support for meeting and event planning logistics.
- Support updating processes and systems for organization tools.
- Support financial reimbursement and tracking of expenses.
- Provide development assistance to director for sustainability, including systems development and grant reports.
Requirements
- At least five years working in the broader field of child health and wellbeing and childhood trauma.
- At least two years directly working in training, learning, and education.
- Must have their own computer with software programs including Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Articulate Suite.
- Expected to track their own hours and communicate about project timelines.
- Must be available for a Zoom meeting at least once a week, Monday-Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM.
