About the Role
The Staff Nurse - Woman and Children's Float Pool position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to various specialized units within NewYork-Presbyterian. This role allows for flexible scheduling and the chance to provide essential support to healthcare teams, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide extra hands on a unit as needed.
- Partner with a Staffing Coordinator to design a schedule.
- Provide caring and quality patient care.
- Work with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
- Engage in flexible scheduling.
- Participate in shared clinical decision-making.
- Work nights, including weekend and holiday rotation.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Postpartum and Antepartum experience.
- At least two years of acute care RN experience.
- Current New York State RN license or willingness to obtain.
- BCLS certification.
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- All roles require on-site presence.
