About the Role

The Staff Nurse - Woman and Children's Float Pool position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to various specialized units within NewYork-Presbyterian. This role allows for flexible scheduling and the chance to provide essential support to healthcare teams, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide extra hands on a unit as needed.
  • Partner with a Staffing Coordinator to design a schedule.
  • Provide caring and quality patient care.
  • Work with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
  • Engage in flexible scheduling.
  • Participate in shared clinical decision-making.
  • Work nights, including weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Postpartum and Antepartum experience.
  • At least two years of acute care RN experience.
  • Current New York State RN license or willingness to obtain.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
  • All roles require on-site presence.
