About the Role

Join our Travel team as a New York-based Account Director! This dynamic role offers a chance to fuel the creative spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead earned media relations, focusing on securing marquee feature stories in top national outlets and emerging media platforms.
  • Drive the team to surpass annual KPIs to amplify brand recognition.
  • Support the growth and advancement of manager-level and junior-level staff through mentoring, development, and retention efforts.
  • Leverage industry expertise to anticipate client needs, becoming a trusted partner in their success.
  • Proactively address opportunities and challenges with strategic solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients, collaborating with agency partners to develop and execute impactful communication and creative campaigns.
  • Lead the ideation, execution, and recommendation of brand collaborations, partnerships, talent-led campaigns, and event strategies.
  • Proactively identify new business leads and opportunities, developing proposals and presentations.

Requirements

  • At least six years of full-time experience in public relations and media relations.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of Luxury, Lifestyle and Travel industries.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful stories across diverse media.
  • At least two years of direct experience in managing a travel industry account.
  • Cultivate and maintain genuine relationships with top media outlets and key freelance writers.
  • Proficiency in team management of at least two direct reports.
  • Adept at orchestrating events/programs with both small and large budgets.
  • Ability to travel for work-related events or meetings.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the media landscape, including print, online, broadcast and new-media channels.
  • Embody the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrate self-awareness, cultural competency, and the ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Salary/Compensations

  • $95,000 - $110,000
