About the Role

OSFI requires Federally Regulated Financial Institutions (FRFI) to have adequate policies and procedures to protect themselves against threats to their integrity and security (I&S), including foreign interference. The Integrity and Security Risk division supervises FRFIs against several OSFI guidelines, including the Integrity and Security Guideline. This role involves supervising financial institutions, drafting briefing notes, and engaging with stakeholders. The Manager role also includes managing and leading a team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising financial institutions against OSFI guidance and publications through the review and monitoring of FRFIs.
  • Drafting briefing notes and provide presentations to senior leadership.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders on subjects related to the integrity and security of FRFIs.
  • Manage and lead a team in support of OSFI’s mandate.

Requirements

  • A degree OR diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in business, economics, or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of relevant experience and formal education or training.
  • Significant experience in a specialized risk domain or sub-domain such as, physical security and/or insider threat programs including but not limited to, conducting physical threat and risk assessments, technical security inspections, contributing to risk governance, incident response; and drafting policies and procedures.
  • Experience providing strategic advice and recommendations and delivering briefings on complex issues to senior management.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management practices, and controls as they relate to the financial services industry, with a particular focus on physical security or insider threat risks.
  • Knowledge of OSFI’s mandate and the Supervisory Framework particularly in the area of Operational Resilience.
  • Knowledge of current and/or emerging threats and risks as it relates to physical security and insider threats at federally regulated financial institutions.
