About the Role
The Technician is responsible for professionally inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing automotive systems while providing an excellent customer experience. This role requires continuous learning of automotive technology, mentoring team members, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension, and alignment systems.
- Perform maintenance services and duties of lower-level technician roles.
- Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers and team members.
- Participate in formal training to stay updated on automotive technology.
- Assist fellow technicians with technical activities.
- Report mechanical repair issues to store management.
- Maintain an organized and clean shop environment.
- Adhere to company policies, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of automotive mechanical diagnosis and repair experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
- Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to lift, carry, and place up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to perform physical movements including reaching, squatting, bending, and kneeling.
- State Inspection license if applicable.
