About the Role

Westlake Dermatology has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to work with a provider at our Dripping Spring location. This is a Full-Time role with Fridays off.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physician with patient care, including obtaining history, chief complaint, and consents
• Assisting with cosmetic procedures (including Botox, fillers, etc.)
• Preparing exam rooms
• Escorting patients to room and preparing them for provider
• Assisting in patient education regarding aftercare protocols and what to expect after treatment
• EHR charting
• Stocking and turnover of exam rooms
• Reviewing and managing schedule to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately
• Ensuring supplies needed for procedures are available

Requirements

• Candidate must have great attention to detail
• Candidate must have excellent customer service skills
• Candidate must have the ability to multi-task
• Prior EHR (EMA) experience is a plus
• Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience is preferred
• High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required
• 1-2 years of prior experience in a dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic setting working as a medical assistant or clinical assistant preferred
• Able to stand for long periods of time
