About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President of Executive Risk Insurance with a specialization in Financial Institutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance needs of financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, and investment firms. The Senior Vice President will be responsible for managing and growing our book of business in this sector, developing new business opportunities, and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business plan to grow the book of business for financial institutions.
- Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to clients in the financial institution sector on complex property and casualty insurance solutions, including coverage for D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Cyber Risk, Crime, Kidnap & Ransom, and Property & Business Interruption.
- Lead the team in marketing and underwriting risks to ensure profitability and growth objectives are met.
- Manage client relationships and work collaboratively with clients to understand their business needs and provide innovative solutions to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive profitable growth, including product development, claims, and risk engineering.
- Monitor market trends and developments, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company's brand and establish the company as a thought leader in the financial institution sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or professional insurance designation preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience in complex property and casualty insurance, with a focus on financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of the insurance needs of financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, and investment firms.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing a business plan to grow a book of business.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to mitigate risk.
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and pricing methodology.
- Active participation in industry associations and organizations.
