About the Role

This role focuses on leveraging data to optimize existing customer strategies, enhance portfolio performance, and influence commercial decisions. The ideal candidate will transform complex datasets into actionable insights that benefit both customers and the business, thriving in a dynamic environment and effectively communicating recommendations to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own credit strategies for existing customer management, including optimizing credit limit increases/decreases, balance transfers, and supporting repricing activities.
  • Shape monitoring frameworks by designing scalable solutions for reviewing portfolio quality and strategy impacts.
  • Provide analytical recommendations, support governance, and facilitate the implementation of strategy changes.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Collections, Tech, Finance, and Regulatory teams to achieve investor returns and ensure an exceptional customer experience within regulatory frameworks.
  • Communicate analytical findings effectively by creating clear narratives, anticipating questions, and ensuring data comprehension.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes or business performance through data analysis and liaise with external partners for Proof of Concept exercises.

Requirements

  • A degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or Computer Science.
  • Over 3 years of experience in data/analytics, with a preference for lending, risk, or fintech backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in using SQL or Python for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage time effectively.
  • Skill in interacting and collaborating with stakeholders at all business levels, including managing expectations.
  • Experience in clearly communicating complex analytical insights in a simple manner to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical).
  • Credit card or consumer finance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing or analyzing lending, credit risk, pricing, or existing customer strategies is advantageous.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, remaining positive, adaptable, and focused.
  • Execution-focused with a hands-on, proactive, and solutions/process-oriented approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to switch between independent work and team collaboration.
