About the Role
Prepares products and batches per customer specifications, ensuring quality checks are performed and recorded.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all equipment is set up and functioning.
- Follow batch cards for all products, verifying item codes, lot numbers, weights, and descriptions.
- Prepare batches according to batch card specifications, including kettles, breddos, brix, acid, and PH levels.
- Assist with reports for ingredient lot numbers.
- Remove any product not required for the current batch run.
- Participate in CIPs as needed.
- Ensure the kitchen and all utensils are clean and ready for use.
- Understand written production orders.
- Report accurate and current inventory to authorized personnel.
- Report food safety and quality problems to authorized personnel.
Requirements
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses, and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots).
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (knife, pumps, and scales).
- Previous experience as a machine operator.
- Lock Out/Tag Out Trained.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors, loud environments, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions, lifting/carrying <50 pounds, and frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending.
