About the Role
Drivers safely and efficiently deliver meals to clients while serving as ambassadors of God's Love We Deliver. Drivers typically complete up to 60 delivery stops per day and interact directly with clients in a professional, compassionate, and respectful manner.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and inspect assigned delivery vehicles.
- Load and deliver meals accurately and efficiently along assigned routes.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Use routing technology and company-issued devices to navigate delivery routes.
- Communicate delays, vehicle concerns, or route issues to management.
- Follow all food safety, vehicle safety, and organizational policies.
- Support and provide guidance to volunteer Van Assistants as needed.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Driver's License required.
- Clean driving record with the ability to meet insurance requirements.
- Previous commercial driving, delivery, transportation, or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage routes efficiently, and meet delivery schedules.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and compassionate client service.
