About the Role
This role is an excellent opportunity for an Administrative, Logistics, or Customer Service professional to support the Supply Chain team, ensuring timely product delivery. You will be involved in various order management activities and work with UK & European colleagues. The position demands flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines, making it ideal for a team player who enjoys variety.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders with high accuracy, managing information flow, checking product availability, and booking delivery/transportation based on customer requirements and lead times.
- Understand and monitor special customer requirements for pick & packing, transportation, and delivery lead times.
- Review and monitor Backorders, proactively communicating issues to customers and sales.
- Support department service level goals for On Time In Full (OTIF).
- Evaluate and action requests for returns and claims, issuing credit notes based on the sign-off/return confirmation process.
- Maintain accurate customer profiles and procedure manuals.
- Maintain relevant customer product/material code files, update SAP with changes, and inform customers of changes and effective dates for correct order placement.
- Ensure customers are regularly informed about product availability issues, sales over forecast, delivery times, and delays.
- Respond to customer inquiries, claims, and complaints within agreed departmental timeframes.
- Proactively use daily/weekly/monthly reports to monitor order status and performance, driving action for own accounts, following up, and discussing challenges for issue resolution and on-time delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role and industry.
- Educated to a minimum of 'A level' or equivalent, including English and Maths.
- Highly developed IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Teams).
- Prior experience in SAP is a must.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
- Passionate about customer service.
- Highly organized and able to manage deadlines effectively and efficiently.
- High levels of attention to detail.
- Must possess a flexible and responsive working style.
- Good communicator via email, telephone, or written.
