About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Embodied Carbon Specialist with a background in architecture or engineering to join our sustainability team. This role offers the opportunity to lead embodied carbon assessments and drive low carbon design strategies across projects in the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Lead embodied carbon assessments and drive low carbon design strategies across projects.
  • Conduct lifecycle assessments and carbon footprint analyses to evaluate and optimize material choices and construction methodologies.
  • Assist in the creation of internal tools for early-stage embodied carbon calculation and optioneering.
  • Assist in tracking the performance of our projects.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of internal training and resources for architects and designers.
  • Work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team at all stages of the architectural process.

Requirements

  • The equivalent of at least 3-5 years of experience in embodied carbon analysis and life cycle assessment within the built environment.
  • Proficiency with carbon assessment tools such as OneClick LCA, eTool, or similar software.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks, including RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment Methodology, EN 15978, and LETI guidance.
  • Familiarity with sustainable material databases and environmental product declarations (EPDs).
  • Experience working with BIM (Revit) and material quantification.
  • Good communication skills; verbal, written and presentation, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for decarbonisation, sustainable materials, and innovation in the built environment.
