About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior LNG Engineer to join our LNG Technology team. This hands-on role involves leading the design and delivery of complex platform enhancements, driving technical improvements, and modernizing the technology that supports our LNG trading business. You will be instrumental in enhancing platform resilience, maintainability, and operational excellence, while also influencing future architecture and engineering standards. Additionally, you will provide senior-level support for complex production issues, mentor fellow engineers, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate commercial requirements into scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of complex platform enhancements and technology improvements.
Drive engineering best practice across code quality, testing, supportability, and platform resilience.
Own technical solutions from design through to deployment and production support.
Support and resolve complex production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
Collaborate with Product, Business Analysis, and Architecture teams to shape technical solutions and delivery approaches.
Contribute to platform strategy, technical debt reduction, and future technology decisions.
Mentor engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.
Improve automation, observability, deployment processes, and DevOps maturity.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using C#/.NET.
Expertise in designing and delivering APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, resilience, and security principles.
Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure.
Well-developed SQL and data analysis skills, including troubleshooting, optimization, and production support.
Experience operating within modern DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
Track record of leading complex technical initiatives within business-critical technology environments.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Previous experience mentoring and supporting engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Experience within energy trading, LNG, commodities, ETRM/CTRM, or related trading environments (Desirable).
Experience with EOS, Endur, or other energy trading platform technologies (Desirable).
Knowledge of scheduling, logistics, settlements, valuation, or cargo management systems (Desirable).
Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar technologies (Desirable).
