About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of corporate intelligence engagements by conducting in-depth research and analysis relating to individuals, companies and geopolitical developments across the Former Soviet Union region. They will combine strong analytical investigative and communication expertise to deliver high-quality intelligence research for clients across the globe.
Responsibilities
- Conducting in-depth online research, utilising various open-source tools in support of complex corporate intelligence projects across the Former Soviet Union region.
- Conducting research on regional commercial, security and political issues across the region to identify risks and opportunities for clients.
- Critically analysing and assessing all information obtained during research.
- Leading on the analysis for various complex due diligence, investigations, strategic intelligence and disputes and litigation support projects.
- Providing subject matter expertise on the political, regulatory and corporate risk environment across the Former Soviet Union.
- Presenting accurate, well-structured intelligence reports and assessments tailored to case manager requirements and client requests.
- Working on multiple research projects and tasks, while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across the corporate intelligence practice to deliver high-quality work.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Adapting to a fast-paced consulting environment whilst continuously developing regional and investigative expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or more, preferably in Modern Languages, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Law, Journalism, Linguistics or a related field.
- The ability to read and research to a high standard in Russian will be required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar analytical role, preferably within the Corporate Intelligence industry.
- The ability to work independently across a range of complex, regionally focused Corporate Intelligence engagement, including in-depth due diligence assignments, high-stakes investigations, and market entry analyses.
- A deep understanding of the different forms of risks that may concern clients operating in Post Soviet jurisdictions, which may include sanctions, corruption, bribery, reputational risk, political exposure, and geopolitical issues.
- The ability to produce diligent work within tight deadlines, going the extra mile to deliver for our clients.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
- An investigative mindset and ability to critically analyse different sources of information and the potential agendas behind them.
- All candidates must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment.
Skills
- Proficiency in further foreign languages is desirable.
