About the Role

The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is seeking Project Assistants to support the preparation and execution of the MSC 2027. This role involves assisting the Director and Project Leads with planning, organization, and implementation of projects and initiatives, as well as supporting diplomatic initiatives and high-level participants.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director and Project Leads in planning, organizing, and implementing projects and initiatives for MSC 2027.
• Accompany diplomatic initiatives, Track II formats, and task forces, including organizational and content preparation.
• Assist with events, working sessions, and the support of high-ranking participants.
• Contribute to central working documents such as concept notes, briefings, research, meeting preparations, and correspondence in German and English.
• Coordinate appointments, bilateral discussions, and alignments with internal and external partners.
• Support travel and calendar management for management.
• Conduct research and provide content support for ongoing and new projects.
• Perform general office and organizational tasks.

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English and German skills (C2 level); additional languages are an advantage.
• Interest in foreign and security policy, with very good knowledge of current world events.
• Very good organizational and improvisation skills.
• Very good communication skills.
• High resilience and stress resistance.
• Teamwork ability and reliability.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience in formulating precise texts in German and English.
• Successful completion of a university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, or related fields).
• Enjoy working in a team while maintaining a precise and conscientious work ethic, even under time pressure.
