About the Role
Support people with disability to have the choice, control, and independence to live their best life. Based in Kogarah Bay, you will support two men, providing active and imaginative support to help them participate in activities, go for walks, and have choice and control in their daily lives. You will be part of the Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a permanent part-time basis, working across a 24/7 roster.
Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
- Engage in client hobbies and interests, such as walks and puzzles
- Maintain thorough record keeping
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
- Advocate for client choice and control
Requirements
- Experience working with people with disability
- Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
- An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- Comfortable to drive a large van to support community access
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Must be able to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check
- Must be able to obtain an NDIS Clearance
