About the Role
This role provides strong leadership to staff and oversees operational management for a team of sheltered neighbourhood officers, ensuring the delivery of a proactive and responsive housing management service to 1000 sheltered residents. Responsibilities include managing tenancy, voids, lettings, antisocial behaviour, home visits, and wellbeing checks, while collaborating with stakeholders to support residents. The role involves monitoring team performance, leading through change, motivating staff, and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability. It also includes managing the budget for neighbourhood and community services, ensuring value for money, and driving continuous service improvement through business intelligence and data analysis. The objective is to meet set KPIs, embed learning and development, and align with council values and competencies, ensuring the service meets current and future business needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operational management to a team of sheltered neighbourhood officers.
- Ensure the delivery of a proactive and responsive housing management service to 1000 sheltered residents.
- Oversee tenancy management, voids and lettings, antisocial behaviour management, home visits and wellbeing checks.
- Ensure officers work with internal and external stakeholders to provide resident support.
- Maintain a firm operational grip on team outputs and performance.
- Use reports to monitor performance and take action for improvement.
- Lead through change, motivating and inspiring teams.
- Deliver a culture of ownership, responsibility, and accountability.
- Ensure service provides value for money and delivers safe, sustainable communities.
- Manage the overall budget for neighbourhood and community services.
- Analyze and advise on the financial impact of property management.
- Deliver services within budget.
- Produce periodic budget monitoring information.
- Ensure the basics are right and adopt a learning culture.
- Work cross-team to deliver continuous service improvement.
- Use business intelligence to transform and improve service delivery, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure teams meet set KPIs.
