About the Role
This role is a critical addition to our Pharmacy Benefits Management practice, involving significant client and internal interaction to establish Mercer as a leading consultant on all pharmacy-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for select mid-market and national accounts, managing service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement, and benchmarking.
- Identify provider performance gaps and recommend strategies to control spend and trend.
- Upsell Mercer pharmacy solutions.
- Negotiate competitive Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) contracts leveraging Mercer’s scale and reputation.
- Lead regional and national marketing pursuits.
- Delegate effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members.
- Manage day-to-day account/project management for key MercerRx clients.
- Thrive in an environment embracing AI and technology-enabled tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of consulting or relevant experience in the pharmacy managed care industry.
- Superior analytical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.
