About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Merchandiser to join our Men's Accessories team. This role involves analyzing data and building relationships to plan and optimize product ranges for customers. You will work towards key performance indicators including sales, profit, stock, and margin, while also leading in-season trading and managing merchandising assistants.
Responsibilities
- Accurately plan and forecast sales, stock, profit, and SKUs for your category.
- Manage the commercial and customer success of a product range through range planning and in-season trading.
- Utilize analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
- Manage stock flow, control inventory levels, and manage open-to-buy.
- Maximize availability across channels while minimizing inventory holding and supply chain costs.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Merchandiser, Buyer, Merchandising Manager, and Supply Chain.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and brands.
- Forecast assortment sales, stock, and margin KPIs, and determine Open To Buy parameters.
- Make seasonal trading decisions, quantify buy volumes, and manage product lifecycles with suppliers.
- Task manage relevant Merchandising Assistant partner(s).
Requirements
- Proven experience in Merchandising.
- Experience in forecasting & planning, WSSI management, influencing & stakeholder management.
- Experience in financial sign offs, numerical modelling and stock flow planning.
- Demonstrated experience in merchandising practices, including assortment planning and stock management.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar analytical tools.
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as Business Intelligence, Tableau.
- Communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of Retail Operations and Supply Chain Management.
