About the Role
CeFi – Bildung und Verständigung gGmbH is seeking experienced cooks to prepare balanced, child-friendly meals for over 100 children in their daycare facilities in Spandau and Neukölln, Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of balanced, child-friendly meals, including vegetarian options.
- Planning weekly menus in coordination with the team, considering allergies and intolerances.
- Ordering, receiving, and proper storage of goods.
- Adherence to hygiene and quality standards according to HACCP.
- Economical work and quantity calculation for over 100 children.
- Coordination of meal service and potentially breakfast/snacks.
- Maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment and rooms.
- Supervision of kitchen assistants, volunteers, and interns.
Requirements
- Completed training as a cook or comparable professional experience, ideally in communal catering.
- Enjoyment of vegetarian cooking for children in a modern kitchen.
- Proficient handling of HACCP, allergens, and special diets.
- Structured, independent work style and resilience.
- Very good German language skills.
- Experience in daycare/school/communal catering is desirable.
- Knowledge of DGE quality standards is desirable.
