About the Role
As a Senior Platform Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure, you’ll play a key role in evolving and supporting our Windows infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This is a senior engineering role where you’ll drive automation, modernisation, and operational excellence, while mentoring engineers and shaping how infrastructure is delivered through DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Service practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement cloud and Windows infrastructure modernisation across on‑prem and public cloud environments
- Influence technology onboarding linked to new business acquisitions
- Drive automation-first delivery using Infrastructure as service and CI/CD pipelines
- Improve reliability, performance and cost efficiency of critical platforms
- Standardise tooling and uplift infrastructure processes using modern engineering practices
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to align infrastructure with business needs
- Coach and uplift the team in DevOps mindset and modern engineering practices
Requirements
- Strong experience managing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) in AWS
- Strong expertise in Windows Server environments and hybrid cloud platforms
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation and DevOps practices
- Solid experience in large enterprise or APRA‑regulated environments (Banking, Insurance, Government)
- Experience working in complex legacy‑to‑cloud transformation environments
- Proven ability to improve operational excellence, security and resilience
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation
