About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Specialist to support the delivery of facilities management services at a flagship Distribution Centre. This role will work across Kemps Creek and Eastern Creek Distribution Centres, NSW. Working closely with the Facilities Manager and a team of technicians, contractors and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities, supporting capital works, managing service providers and ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in line with contractual commitments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities to support uninterrupted site operations
- Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to required standards
- Support the delivery of facility services including maintenance, cleaning, security, waste, utilities and associated site services
- Build strong relationships with operational teams, contractors, technicians and partner representatives
- Assist with asset management activities, capital works coordination and site improvement initiatives
- Support WHS compliance, contractor management processes, risk assessments and site safety initiatives
- Raise purchase orders, reconcile works, support budget management and monitor expenditure
- Maintain accurate records, utilise management systems and identify opportunities to improve operational performance
Requirements
- Previous experience in Facilities Management, Maintenance Coordination or a similar operational role
- Strong planning, scheduling and administrative capabilities
- Experience coordinating contractors and multiple service providers
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using maintenance management systems and business applications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A highly organised and proactive coordinator who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation
- Solutions-focused, with the ability to identify issues and coordinate effective outcomes
