About the Role

The Risk and Compliance Senior Analyst performs and manages recurring risk and compliance activities to strengthen risk maturity, support regulatory obligations, and ensure risk considerations are integrated into business operations, decision-making, and change initiatives within the ASX Supervision division.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain risk registers and support the documentation of risk events, causes, impacts, controls, and treatment plans.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of risk profiles, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk reporting dashboards.
  • Perform control testing activities and assurance activities, including evidence collection, assessment documentation, and tracking of remediation actions.
  • Assist business stakeholders in documenting controls and identifying opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
  • Support the end-to-end management of incidents, issues, and remediation actions.
  • Track and report action implementation and completion, ensuring evidence is appropriately documented and retained.
  • Assist in mapping obligations to controls, processes, and accountable owners.
  • Coordinate compliance assessments and support the preparation of compliance reporting and attestations.
  • Contribute to risk maturity uplift initiatives and transformation programs.

Requirements

  • Gained 3+ years of experience working within a Line 1 risk function.
  • Experience supporting risk and compliance assessments, control testing & uplift, and incident & issue management.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple pieces of work concurrently across various interrelated initiatives and workstreams.
  • Proven ability to build strong internal relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Well-developed planning and prioritisation skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes to agreed deadlines.
  • Familiarity with process mapping, control design, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, including proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • Firsthand experience implementing operational risk management frameworks and control assurance methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, market infrastructure, or regulated financial service environments.
  • Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.
