About the Role
The Senior Business Analyst will support the Financial Planning, Analytics & Commercial team's reporting and planning projects by leading requirements gathering, report wire-frames, testing, rollout, and support. This role will also be involved in AI projects related to reporting key financial figures.
Responsibilities
- Build effective relationships and work collaboratively with staff to identify and develop initiatives that optimize processes.
- Manage the development and implementation of test plans (System and UAT testing) to ensure dashboard/reporting or planning requirements are delivered in line with the Business Intelligence strategy and timeframes.
- Lead workshops and meetings to identify, document, and implement business improvements relating to Finance Business Intelligence and Planning and Budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with project managers to support the effective delivery of large Financial Services projects.
- Develop project plans and track progress through to implementation for smaller internal team projects.
- Drive the rollout and adoption of projects by developing and providing knowledge base content, user training, and ongoing system education relating to BI or Planning modules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Accounting degree preferred, or strong experience in Finance/Planning Reporting projects).
- Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants or Certified Practicing Accountants Australia preferred.
- Previous experience in financial planning and budgeting systems.
- Experience in Financial Reporting projects and systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment.
- Successful completion of all pre-employment or background checks.
- Declaration regarding investigation for, or engagement in, sexual harm or gender-based violence.
