About the Role
We are seeking motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as Investigation Officers within the Investigations Division. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting complex, multi-faceted, high-risk investigations, often of significant public interest. The role requires thorough and timely investigations in accordance with relevant legislation, Commission policies, and procedures, contributing to improved health care standards and community well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations in accordance with relevant legislation, Commission policies, and procedures.
- Conduct proactive investigations resulting in a range of regulatory outcomes.
- Conduct complex investigations and compile required briefs of evidence.
- Monitor and enforce regulatory outcomes such as Interim and Permanent Prohibition Orders.
- Manage vulnerable witnesses with a trauma-informed focus, building rapport while obtaining relevant, reliable, and factual information.
- Conduct respondent/person of interest interviews.
- Identify and proactively address risk throughout the investigation process.
- Assess and analyze information to develop and present recommendations or investigation findings to senior staff.
- Conduct investigations collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in conducting regulatory/criminal investigations.
- Existing Australian work rights.
- Ability to carry out duties independently, honestly, and consistently with uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.
- Willingness to complete a Background Verification Check, including a National Police Check, qualification check, and potentially a Working with Children Check.

Salary/Compensations
- $116,981 – $129,492 + Superannuation
