About the Role
As a Configuration Manager, you will maintain and enhance AMP’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate visibility of IT assets, relationships, and dependencies. Your work will support IT Service Management processes, improve risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate across technology and business units to align CMDB capabilities with organizational needs, driving automation and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance AMP’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Ensure accurate visibility of IT assets, relationships, and dependencies.
- Support IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
- Improve risk management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements like CPS230.
- Collaborate across technology and business units to align CMDB capabilities with organizational needs.
- Drive automation and process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years managing CMDBs, preferably in ServiceNow, including Discovery, integrations, and data ingestion.
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change) and how CMDB supports them.
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS, ensuring configuration data spans hybrid environments.
- Ability to establish data ownership, enforce standards, and maintain regulatory compliance (e.g., CPS230).
- Extensive experience resolving CMDB issues, optimizing data models, and ensuring accuracy.
- Knowledge of AI/ML-driven automation and emerging best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Skilled at managing multiple teams’ requirements and translating technical concepts into business value.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication for documentation, reporting, and training.
- Strong service orientation with experience in customer-facing roles.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adjust to evolving priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented with a passion for self-improvement and staying ahead of industry trends.
