About the Role
Swig Bar is seeking a Barback to assist bartenders, maintain bar cleanliness, prepare ingredients, wash glassware, and manage bar stock in a fast-paced live entertainment venue. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and provide an elevated hospitality experience, with most shifts occurring between 9pm and 3am.
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders with daily service
- Maintain overall bar cleanliness
- Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients
- Wash and organize glassware
- Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock
- Clean as part of opening and closing duties
Requirements
- Has or is willing to obtain a CA Food Handler’s Certification and RBS training required
- 21+ years of age or older
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to follow directions
- Basic math skills or an ability to use a calculator and understand proportions
- Good interpersonal skills
