About the Role

Responsibilities
- Leadership, management, and performance of the national self-insurance claims function.
- Overseeing the delivery of high-quality workers' compensation claims management services across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensuring compliance with legislative and licence requirements while achieving optimal recovery, return-to-work, customer, service, and financial outcomes.
- Providing strategic and operational leadership to claims teams.
- Driving claims excellence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working collaboratively with clients, regulators, service providers, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional claims management services.
- Serving as a key contact for prospective and newly acquired clients.
- Supporting business development activities, client transitions, operational solution design, and the development of long-term strategic partnerships.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in workers' compensation claims management, including leadership roles within a self-insured employer, insurer, or third-party administrator environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading claims teams and managing portfolios across multiple workers' compensation jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of self-insurance licence requirements, workers' compensation legislation, injury management, and return-to-work principles.
- Proven ability to manage complex claims, operational performance, compliance obligations, and business outcomes.
- Experience supporting client onboarding, service implementation, tender submissions, business development activities, or client relationship management is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in claims management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver client-focused solutions.

Education Level
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, Law, Health, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (highly desirable).
