About the Role

Provide pharmaceutical care to patients including drug dispensing, distribution and medication counselling. Deliver accurate and timely drug information to patients and staff to support safe and effective medication use. This is a rotational role offering diverse experience and exposure across a wide range of specialties. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure high standards of patient care and participate in core departmental operations with a focus on safety, quality. Engage in orientation and structured training programs, with ongoing support to develop skills in clinical pharmacy, dispensing, and drug information.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Pharmacist, with no restrictions on scope of practice.
  • Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to participate in weekend and on-call rosters as required
  • Understanding of formulary management principles and the practical application of formulary decisions within a hospital setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have an Australia visa that grants the work rights necessary for the role.

  • $83,734.08 - $123,940.80 Pro-rata + Super + Salary Packaging
