About the Role
Join our global team as an online teacher for AP Pre-Calculus, preparing students for calculus through functions, trigonometry, and mathematical modeling at the College Board AP level in a live online classroom.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live lessons in AP Pre-Calculus, tailored to the needs of a diverse, international group of students.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to create an interactive and supportive online classroom.
- Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt teaching to ensure strong learning outcomes.
- Plan and communicate clear course schedules, detailing lesson content and assessment timelines.
- Lead professional, interactive live sessions, making full use of CGA’s online learning resources and technology.
- Set meaningful homework, design and administer assessments, and give constructive feedback.
- Develop high-quality educational materials, including tests and exams, contributing to CGA’s rich resource library.
- Manage the online classroom on Canvas, keeping it well organised with assignments and assessments for easy student access.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience at high school (Grades 9–12) in a school setting.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and the CGA team.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for innovative, technology-enabled education.
- Strong knowledge of the relevant Advanced Placement (College Board) curriculum and examinations.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. a postgraduate certificate in education, a teaching degree, or a teaching license).
- Previous online teaching experience.
- Experience preparing students for College Board AP examinations.
