About the Role
A multi-discipline engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Discipline Engineer to join their White Plains office and lead electrical design initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, stand-by power generation, communication, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Manage a group of Electrical Engineers in project design and development tasks such as drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.
- Respond to client questions and comments.
- Review contractor submittals and provide clarifications during construction.
- Review electrical department design documents for completion.
- Ensure department personnel adhere to accepted industry and company standards.
- Assist in the development of company quality standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with management and leadership to implement manpower and production plans.
- Assist in business development initiatives and client presentations.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
- 10+ years of experience with a consulting engineering firm designing building power, communication, lighting, and security systems.
- Extensive knowledge of architectural and engineering industry laws and regulations.
- P.E. license.
- LEED Accreditation.
- Supervisory experience.
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
