About the Role
As an IT Administrator reporting to the Lead IT, you will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our technology infrastructure. This hands-on role involves daily IT operations, monitoring for cyber threats, and supporting organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Manage Active Directory services, including user account management, DNS, and group policy configuration.
- Implement security best practices to safeguard directory services from unauthorized access.
- Evaluate hardware and software requirements based on business needs and technical specifications.
- Forecast future infrastructure needs and plan for scalability.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Manage DKIM, SPF, DMARC and other secure messaging parameters.
- Manage endpoint detection and response (EDR) and email security solution.
- Develop and maintain data loss prevention (DLP) policies and procedures.
- Manage MDR relationship and responses to ensure cyber risk is managed.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain and manage incident response plans, business continuity plans, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations related to cybersecurity.
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans (BCPs) and disaster recovery plans (DRPs).
- Continuously review and update data loss mitigation and business continuity plans.
- Monitor progress of infrastructure, cloud and security projects against milestones.
- Oversee ticket management process and overall IT service management.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team on infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and IT operations best practices.
Requirements
- Relevant education with a focus in Computer Science or related field or equivalent hands-on career experience.
- 2 or more years' experience in a similar position.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certificate.
- Previous experience in effectively aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, managing resource allocation and budget constraints.
- Strong proven ability to gather IT requirements from various stakeholders and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey project objectives, expectations, and updates.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and analyze situations for improvements.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible in their approach.
- Strong time management to timely completion of project milestones.
- Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risks of a project.
