About the Role
BCG's Tech and Digital Advantage (TDA) practice focuses on helping clients deliver competitive advantage and superior business performance through data, technology, and digital solutions. BCG Platinion, within TDA, works across all industries providing deep expertise in Tech Advisory and Delivery, Architecture, Enterprise Solutions, Cybersecurity, and Technology Risk Management. The Tech Advisory and Delivery Chapter helps clients solve challenging problems by developing superior IT concepts and tech solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about consulting and technology, bringing expertise to develop customized, innovative client solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage, support, and coach junior team members while serving as an individual contributor.
- Work on a variety of digital topics, applying generalist consulting skills to strategic digital & technology questions.
- Create strategies for change, win buy-in for recommendations, and collaborate to transform client potential into performance.
- Help clients answer questions such as “How will AI disrupt my business model?”, “How can businesses use data and analytics to create highly personalized outreach delivered through a seamless omnichannel experience?”, and “How can I ship higher quality digital services to my customers faster by using agile?”.
- Support AI and digital transformation efforts by developing strategies around AI and Agentic Platforms, Data and digital analytics platforms, Cloud infrastructure and technologies, Data management capabilities, Enterprise Tech Platforms, Business IT architecture, Software and product management (including Agile ways of working), and Tech, Enterprise Architecture and Data governance.
- Develop roadmaps and current state assessments for IT and AI/Data organizations in large companies across various industries.
- Orchestrate technical program delivery across business stakeholders, complex vendor landscapes, and technology ecosystems.
- Optimize AI / LLM costs and FinOps.
- Conduct IT Benchmarking and provide recommendations for IT cost take-out initiatives.
- Develop future state tech vendor landscapes, conduct vendor assessments/selections, and perform tech cost benefits analysis, eCommerce, and platform valuation and design.
- Support tech functions during mergers and acquisitions, including the functional and technical transformation of an organization’s IT department.
- Communicate the differences and benefits between multiple cloud computer providers and strategies for migrating from on-premise architecture.
- Utilize working knowledge and experience with GenAI and its potential use cases and client implications to deliver both practical and visionary solutions.
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered products within a functional and/or industry business domain, including defining AI product vision, roadmaps, and prioritization frameworks; translating business strategy into AI-enabled product concepts, functional specifications, and delivery plans; leading agile product delivery; owning product quality assurance; defining product / solution architecture and data integration patterns; designing and overseeing the integration of AI and generative AI capabilities into enterprise workflows at scale; defining data strategy and governance requirements; leading the design of agentic workflows and automation use cases; leading vendor evaluations and platform selection processes for AI product tooling; and driving change management and adoption strategies.
- Optimize business and IT processes within complex and heavily matrixed organizations and effectively communicate a path forward for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver data and digital platforms using techniques such as Agile, DevSecOps, and Cloud native architectures.
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered products and subject matter depth in FP&A & FinOps, Supply Chain / S&OP(E), or Go-To-Market (GTM) processes.
- Lead the creation of client-specific strategic materials, surfacing key insights gathered from technical experts and observations.
- Effectively codify messaging and data into presentable materials and deliver communications output efficiently.
- Synthesize wide-ranging conversations, artifacts, and best practices into clear, action-oriented recommendations.
- Assist with business development through writing proposals and scoping projects.
- Contribute to thought leadership through written publications and speaking at events and conferences.
- Present materials, case updates, and escalations to client and internal teams.
- Facilitate technical and strategic working sessions and workshops with both client and internal teams.
- Provide direction on key work items and feedback to other team members.
- Build relationships with key clients.
- Manage junior team members by defining and organizing their “module”, helping them structure their work and associated analyses.
- Mentor and coach junior team members by building mutual development agreements and manufacturing opportunities for them to grow and develop.
- Provide quality assurance oversight by reviewing junior team members’ output for correctness, insight, and clarity.
- Promote a positive experience for junior staff.
- Serve as a role model by actively demonstrating and living BCG’s Culture and Values.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Master degree in information technology, computer science, economics, supply chain, logistics or system engineering, business management/administration, or relevant field.
- 5-8 years of practical experience in AI/Tech consulting, product management, professional software development, product and program implementation.
- Preferred experience with at least one of the following: AI product management, AI platforms (e.g., AWS Agentcore, Azure Foundry, n8n, Aera, Palantir, Agentforce etc.), Data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, etc.), Planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Kinaxis, OMP, etc.), SAP / Oracle, Salesforce.
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years of professional consulting experience in the execution and management of technology or strategic management consulting at a leading consulting firm.
- Exceptional learning and ramp up skills, especially on IT topics concerning data and digital platforms with the expectation of mastering and applying the BCG framework for data and digital platforms BCG’s client portfolio.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional savviness in navigating potentially challenging senior stakeholders in sensitive situations.
- High EQ and self-awareness, high index on confidence and persuasiveness.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor and influence clients and BCG case leadership teams.
- Outstanding ability to work creatively, autonomously, analytically, in a fast-paced problem-solving environment with a focus on customer and results.
- GenAI tool fluency (e.g., demonstrated use of GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude) and validation of responses.
- Willingness to travel around the globe to work with clients and BCG teams. At times, this role may involve up to 80% travel to client sites and BCG offices.

- $190,000 USD base compensation
- Eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus
