About the Role

This role involves managing and coordinating end-to-end return-to-work programs, ensuring legislative compliance and providing exceptional care and support to employees. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop tailored recovery plans that prioritize employee wellbeing and support positive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate individual Return to Work Plans that support safe and sustainable recoveries.
  • Partner with managers, employees, insurers, rehabilitation providers and medical professionals to facilitate successful return-to-work outcomes.
  • Manage workers compensation and injury management cases from commencement through to resolution.
  • Monitor employee progress, review recovery plans and implement adjustments where required.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on injury management, rehabilitation and legislative obligations.
  • Build trusted relationships with employees by providing compassionate support throughout their recovery journey.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through education, early intervention initiatives and wellbeing programs.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and reporting while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.

Requirements

  • Experience managing Return to Work, Workers Compensation or Injury Management cases.
  • Sound knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation legislation and return-to-work best practice.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • Willingness to complete National Criminal History Check.
  • Willingness to complete Pre-employment screening.
  • Willingness to complete Vaccination requirements in accordance with UPA's Immunisation and Vaccination Policy.
