About the Role
Dr. Sauer & Partners is a leading international engineering company for tunneling. For demanding tunnel projects in the USA and Canada, we are looking for experienced Senior NATM Tunnel Engineers to strengthen our team. In this key position, you will take over the technical management of tunnel construction as a representative of the planner.
Responsibilities
- Technical and organizational leadership of the team (geologists, site supervisors) on the construction site
- Implementation and monitoring of the requirements for the required excavation and support (RES)
- Ensuring execution in accordance with planning, specifications, and quality and safety standards
- Assessment of geological and hydrogeological conditions during tunneling
- Creation and review of daily, weekly, and final reports
- Close coordination with site management and project participants
- Tracking construction progress and developing optimization proposals for the construction process
- Preparation of monthly status reports
Requirements
- Completed studies in civil engineering or a comparable field
- At least 15 years of professional experience in NATM tunneling
- Experience in international tunneling projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of all construction processes, materials, and equipment in tunneling
- Sound experience in assessing geological and hydrogeological conditions
- Leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary construction site teams
- High level of commitment and independent, solution-oriented way of working
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken
- Austrian citizenship or valid work permit for the USA or Canada
