About the Role
As the voice of the hotel, the CORE Intern manages communication channels, including phone and paging systems, while serving as the first and last impression for guests. This role involves selling hotel services, coordinating reservations for rooms, spa, and dining, and acting as a central point of contact for Room Service and Housekeeping while responding to emergency communications.
Responsibilities
- Operate hotel phone and paging systems
- Sell hotel services and provide information to prospective guests
- Capture sales from incoming calls
- Coordinate reservations for Hotel Rooms, Spa, Restaurant/Bar, and Room Service
- Provide general hotel information to callers
- Respond to emergencies by connecting appropriate personnel via phone or radio
- Act as the voice of Room Service and Housekeeping teams
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a hotel operations or closely related program
- Internship must be a requirement of the program of study
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Legal work authorization in Canada
