About the Role
Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, and damages, and negotiates claims within the limit of authority. Seeking an Initial Handler Bodily Injury Adjuster with exposure to Homeowner Liability claims for claims in the Northeastern states.
Responsibilities
- Partners with assigned reps from fraud or subrogation areas to achieve the best outcome for claims involving fraud or subrogation.
- Recognizes and identifies vehicle body parts and understands other potential property damage.
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it.
- Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies, the industry, and organizational relationships.
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with discretion and independence within an increased level of authority.
