About the Role

This role involves independently planning and executing the design, driver development, integration, testing, debugging, and validation of real-time embedded software, RTOS environments, embedded systems, microcontroller firmware, and communication protocols for wireless chipsets. The position focuses on features enabled by current and future technologies like 3G, 4G, 5G, and AI. Responsibilities include developing and debugging platforms, identifying and implementing tools to improve the software development process, supporting customer issues, and creating engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

Independently plan and perform moderately-defined responsibilities for design, driver development, integration, test, debugging, and validation of real-time embedded software.
Develop and debug embedded RTOS environments, embedded systems, embedded microcontroller firmware, communication protocols, and platforms for wireless chipsets.
Focus on features enabled by 3G, 4G, 5G, AI, and other current and future technologies.
Identify, evaluate, and implement tools and processes to continually improve the software development process.
Provide support on customer issues and requirements to Software Application Engineers by contributing to project planning and timescales.
Create engineering documentation for intellectual property.
Prepare technical specifications and requirements.
Act as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

Requirements

Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.
Will also accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
