About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer (Software Architect) to lead the architectural evolution and modernization of our core backend services. This role focuses on designing resilient, cloud‑native backend systems and providing technical leadership while working closely with Cloud Architects, DevOps teams, and backend engineers. This role plays an important part in shaping the long‑term backend architecture of our core platforms.

Responsibilities

Redefine backend architecture of core services toward MSA and cloud‑native approaches
Establish and lead system refactoring standards considering resilience, continuous delivery, and observability
Collaborate with Cloud Architects to design application architectures aligned with infrastructure structures
Lead gradual modernization initiatives including legacy module decomposition, module boundary redesign, and API/domain model refinement
Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, and development guideline definition
Participate in defining technical roadmaps scalable to future team and service expansion
Conduct PoCs for new technologies and drive internal technical knowledge sharing
Participate in architectural decision‑making considering security, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
Define service SLA/SLO standards and establish quality and reliability metrics

Requirements

8+ years of experience in backend development and software architecture
Strong hands‑on experience in designing and building backend software architectures
Experience designing or refactoring architectures for large‑scale or mission‑critical systems
Solid understanding of cloud‑native concepts such as resilience, scalability, CI/CD, and observability
Good understanding of domain modeling, transactions, and data consistency
Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring within development teams or projects
Hands‑on experience in backend system development and operations
Experience designing inter‑service communication using RESTful APIs and/or gRPC
Practical experience working in collaborative development and code review environments
