About the Role
Nimble's Brain is the data and model engine behind our supply chain super humanoid robots. We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager, Data Operations to own the day-to-day operational rigor of that pipeline, ensuring data collection, labeling, quality review, and delivery run smoothly at scale. You will manage operational systems and teams responsible for sourcing, collecting, labeling, auditing, and delivering data that trains Nimble's models. This role requires building and refining workflows, staffing plans, and quality checkpoints, acting as the operational bridge between on-site data teams, labeling vendors, and research/engineering teams. Success means clean, reliable, on-time data that improves robot intelligence and safety.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data operations for Nimble's Brain: intake, collection, labeling, quality auditing, and delivery of training and evaluation datasets.
- Design and run operational processes and staffing plans (in-house and vendor/BPO) for large-scale data labeling and QA, ensuring timeliness and budget adherence.
- Define and track operational metrics (throughput, accuracy, turnaround time, cost per label) and build dashboards for organizational alignment.
- Build feedback loops for data quality issues, partnering with research and engineering to implement upstream fixes.
- Coordinate with on-site data collection teams across warehouse locations to ensure consistent data capture.
- Manage relationships and SLAs with external labeling/annotation vendors, including onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Identify and resolve data pipeline bottlenecks, escalating and driving cross-functional fixes.
- Continuously improve tooling, documentation, and standard operating procedures for data operations during Nimble's scaling.
Requirements
- 4+ years in data operations, labeling operations, business/technical operations, or a similar role managing high-volume operational pipelines.
- Proven track record building and running scalable operational processes, ideally involving data collection, annotation/labeling, or quality assurance.
- Experience managing vendor/BPO relationships and driving performance against SLAs.
- Strong metrics orientation with the ability to define KPIs, build reporting, and use data for operational decisions.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to align research, engineering, and operations stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ownership and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Alignment with Nimble's values: resourceful, humble, dependable, and committed to legendary impact.
